Prosecution Division

The Prosecution Division is committed to excellence through innovation and efficient use of our resources. We will work in close cooperation with all officers, civilians and other agencies to achieve our goals and objectives in the finest tradition of the East Providence Prosecution Division.

The East Providence Police Prosecution Division is staffed by one lieutenant, one patrolman, and one civilian clerk. The office is open Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

The Prosecution Division is responsible for the preparation of all criminal cases generated against adults in the City of East Providence. Prosecution is tasked with the timely transmission of all cases to the courts for prosecution to include misdemeanor and felony cases. 

The Prosecution division is also responsible for the handling and transfer for all written traffic violations to the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal and the East Providence Municipal Court.
