Cities and towns will implement specific projects to address impacts of climate change
PROVIDENCE, R.I – Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank today announced $4.9 million in Action Grants for participants of the Municipal Resilience Program (MRP). Communities prioritized local actions through the program and will use grant funds to implement projects that will increase their climate resilience.

Forbes Street compost area open for leaf and yard waste drop offs
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – The City of East Providence Department of Public Works/Refuse & Recycling Division, announces that the Forbes Street Compost Site will be open to residents on from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates:

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – City of East Providence has unveiled three family-friendly sculptures at Riverside Square which will bring smiles to the faces of residents for generations to come, thanks to the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation’s Main Street Rhode Island Streetscape Improvement Grant.
The city unveiled three bunny sculptures today and three patio areas with pavers. Bike racks will be installed and landscaping in the area will be completed in the spring.
