The City of East Providence is hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony to honor our local veterans.  Veterans Day, observed annually on November 11, is a tribute to military veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The ceremony will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. and will be held at the Garden of Flags Memorial on Veterans Memorial Parkway where Mayor Bob DaSilva will be recognizing our local veterans.

Bristol County Fife & Drums will be present to play some patriotic tunes.

Henderson Bridge, East Providence/Providence

Steel girder demolition of two bridge spans over the Seekonk River will require the daytime closure of East River Street on Monday, November 8, 2021. Please follow the signed detour. We also plan to continue working on the new realignment and installing a new water main and light base foundations along Waterfront Drive and installing rebar at the east abutment footing and temporary supports at one of the piers.
