EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – The East Providence Public Works Department, Recycling/Refuse Division announces that all household rubbish, regularly collected on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 due to the Christmas Holiday.

Collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed one day.

Household rubbish and recycling, regularly collected on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 will be collected on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 due to the New Year holiday.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI: In a continuing effort to improve service to our residents, the City of East Providence and East Providence Water Utilities Division (EPWUD) is implementing a system-wide upgrade to our water metering system. This is a mandatory replacement program for all residential and commercial business customers.

There will be no cost to the homeowner or business owner for the meter replacement.

East Providence announces RFP for CRESCENT PARK new building construction

The City of East Providence is excited to announce we are seeking bids from qualified firms for the new construction of a building to be located at Crescent Park.

The new building will house a clam shack / restaurant, new public restrooms, storage area, and carousel business office, as well as tent space to host events.  The new building will be located behind the Crescent Park Carousel along Carousel Drive. 

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – The East Providence Public Works Department, Recycling/Refuse Division announces that all household rubbish and yard waste regularly collected on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, will be collected on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday. All collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed one day. Regular collections will resume the week of December 2, 2024. Residents are asked to have all materials at the curb by 6 a.m. on the day of collection.
