RIDOT TO CLOSE PARKWAY AND WARREN AVENUE RAMPS

TO I-195 WEST IN EAST PROVIDENCE

FROM JULY 28, 2022 – AUGUST 1, 2022

As part of the ongoing Washington Bridge project, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) will temporarily close the I-195 West on-ramps from Veterans Memorial Parkway and Warren Avenue in East Providence for an extended weekend, from 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 through 6 a.m. on Monday, August 1.

 

Cooling Centers in East Providence will be open beginning July 19, 2022 and will remain open during the heatwave.

Food and entertainment is not provided.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – Nobody wants to be swamped by repeated flooding.  Now thanks to federal funding under a program that offers buyouts to owners of chronically flooded properties, fewer homes will be flooded during future storms.
