City, State officials rally to delay property revaluation; Legislation passes
The Army National Guard Directorate (ARNG), Rhode Island Army National Guard (RIARNG), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) are conducting a remedial action at the Rumford Rifle Range Munitions Response Site (MRS).

City announces RFP for prepaid gift card program
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI –The City of East Providence is seeking proposals from interested vendors for its prepaid debit card program.
The Mayor's Youth Summer Program is now open to residents ages 14-24 and has now been extended to June 6, 2022.

Council approves construction of Riverside Rec lot
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – The City of East Providence will be constructing a new parking lot located to the south of Riverside Middle School.
Gov. McKee, Lt. Gov. Matos, DEM Announce Awardees of Over $4 Million in Grants for Local Recreation Projects Across RI
PROVIDENCE, RI – Governor Dan McKee, Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos, and the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) today announced the awarding of $4.1 million in matching grants to 13 municipalities to develop or renovate local outdoor recreational facilities. Perennially, the "rec grant" program is DEM's most popular, with three times as many requests for funding (53) as projects obtaining funding in this grant cycle.
