A meeting of the Planning Board pursuant to Article 12 ‘Unified Development Review’ of the City of East Providence ‘Land Development and Subdivision Regulations’ will be held in Room 306, City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island, on Monday evening, January 12, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. East Providence, RI–One Neighborhood Builders (ONB), one of the state’s leading nonprofit affordable housing and community development organizations, held a groundbreaking today to celebrate the commencement of construction on phase one of its Center City Apartments (CCA) affordable housing development, the organization’s largest to date. CCA will transform a vacant, three-acre blighted parcel on Taunton Avenue into 144 affordable apartments.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – The East Providence Public Works Department, Recycling/Refuse Division announces that all household rubbish and yard waste regularly collected on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, will be collected on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025 due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday. EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) hosted a grand opening of its new health center, East Bay Health Center, located at East Providence’s Sweetland House at 610 Waterman Ave. This new school-partnered health center is made possible through a collaboration with EBCAP, the City of East Providence, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Rhode Island, and the East Providence School District.
