Title: Zines! History, Queer Community, and Crafting
Time: Monday, April 13 6:30-7:30pm at Weaver Library
(registration required)
A zine is a small, handmade booklet; a medium making it easy and inexpensive to spread ideas.
In this workshop, we will learn about the history of zines and see examples of these from the trans and nonbinary community. We will then create our own 8-page zine during the workshop.
Title: Gender Euphoria
Time: Monday, April 20 6:30-7:30pm at Weaver Library
As gender-affirming care comes under fire, this discussion seeks to empower trans and nonbinary individuals (as well as anyone else!) to find ways to feel more at home in their body.
In this program, the instructor will be discussing non-permanent options like choosing clothing to create the desired silhouette, semi-permanent body modifications like piercings that can bring gender euphoria, and being safe while seeking very-permanent things like tattoos to express the self.
