SEASONAL LANDSCAPE / SPORTS CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANT
$18.00 per hour – NO BENEFITS – TEMPORARY POSITION
Job Description: East Providence DPW is seeking temporary seasonal landscape/sports construction labor with a minimum 3 years of experience performing manual labor in the field of landscape / sports construction for its Parks Department.
Seasonal work beginning in May, Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30 pm, 40 hours per week. Duties include mostly working outdoors and assisting Parks staff with the repair and construction of athletic fields, playgrounds, shelters, gazebos, fencing and other construction related projects. Additional duties include working outdoors and assisting with Parks preservation and clean up, grass cutting, shrub trimming, trash pick-up, sweeping and other work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have the physical aptitude to perform the job and be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Candidates will be required to pass a physical, back and drug screen and BCI (background check).
Examination Weight: 100% ORAL
