One to Three Year Grant Funded Temporary Position

$16.00 Hourly Rate plus benefits

Non- Union One to Three Year Position (based on available Federal funding)

Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Under the supervision of the Director of Community Development, performs professional and responsible program management and administration work in connection with the Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) grants. The position will have specific focus ensuring the timely implementation of programing that prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus. In addition, the position will run the Housing Assistance Program that provides up to three months of rent or mortgage payments to eligible applicants. Assignments are received from immediate Supervisor in some detail; the extent of detail depends upon the difficulty or nature of the assignment.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Duties include but are not limited to:
- home assistance program operation and management;
- researching and establishing priority needs of constituents and program applicants;
- development of requests for proposals for programming;
- Determining project costs and budgets;
- Program monitoring and reporting;
- Ensuring eligibility and regulatory compliance;
- Preparing written reports;
- Grant execution and closeout;
- Maintaining accurate accounting records of grant revenues and expenditures;
- Other duties as assigned;

Minimum Qualifications:

- Associates Degree;
- Accounting knowledge through education or experience preferred;
- Housing Assistance Programs experience preferred;
- Bilingual in Portuguese, Spanish, or Creole helpful;
- Grant execution experience;
- Report writing experience
- General office skills;
- Computer literate of all Office Suite products such as Excel;
- Customer service experience a must;
