The City of East Providence is requesting proposals from qualified building demolition contractors to assist East Providence Planning and Public Buildings Department in the demolition of a vacant, School and Administration Building, at 80 Burnside Avenue East Providence, Rhode Island. Time is of the essence in the performance of this Scope of Work. Demolition and all related work must be completed by 10/25/2020.

A pre-bid walk-through will take place at the buildings on Burnside/Hoppin Avenue on THURSDAY, AUGUST 27, 2020 at 11 a.m.

Three (3) copies of a technical proposal shall be submitted in one (1) sealed envelope to the Controller’s Office, Attn: Procurement Specialist, Room 103, City Hall, 145 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI 02914 no later than THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. The bids will be publicly recorded. Bids received with a time of 11:01 AM or later will be rejected. The envelope needs to be marked BID EP19/20 - 30.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. The Contract shall be awarded to responsive and responsible bidder whose bid in either the lowest price, or lowest evaluated or responsive bid price.

The successful bidder will be required to provide a certificate of Insurance listing the City of East Providence, RI as Additional Insured. The minimum categories and amounts of insurance required for this project are as follows: Commercial General Liability, Products/Completed Operations, Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability including explosion, collapse and underground coverage, and personal & advertising injury - $1,000,000 General Aggregate. Auto Liability - $1,000,000 Bodily Injury & Property Damage and Workers Compensation – Statutory amounts. The successful bidder will be required to supply a performance bond in the amount of the awarded bid.
