21 Hours per week
Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
$17.00 per hour (No Benefits)
Summary: Under the direction of the supervisors of the Parks Division, the Seasonal Security and Maintenance Person cares for the Pierce Field Sports Complex and serves as the responsible on-site point of contact for users of the facility.
General Responsibilities:
- Unlock and lock all gates at the Pierce Field Sports Complex.
- Maintain and cleanup the grounds and trash barrels.
- Put away equipment and supplies at end of each shift.
- Turn lights on and off for scheduled events.
- Maintain office and any other complex building in an orderly and clean fashion.
- Report any wrongdoing to the appropriate authorities.
- Answer any questions and customer service any group or individual that are using the Complex.
- May be asked to write incident reports of any circumstance worth noting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to engage professionally with guests to the complex.
- Understanding of facility operations and building security.
- Knowledge of custodial and groundskeeping practices.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency reporting.
- Familiarity with operating light panels, gates, and simple equipment.
- Experience performing security or public safety duties.
- Ability to speak Portuguese or Spanish.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Must be able to move to all areas of the complex efficiently to address emergencies and concerns.
- Must pass a BCI (Background Criminal Investigation).
- Must pass a physical and drug screening.
