Director of Recreation, Diane Sullivan

Diane Sullivan, who was appointed Director of Recreation in 2014, has been employed by the East Providence Recreation Department since 1987. Working closely with the Mayor’s Office, Sullivan is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles, fostering appreciation for the city’s green spaces and enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of East Providence.

Sullivan is a past President of the RI Recreation and Parks Association and currently serves with the organization as an executive board member. Sullivan has twice won the RI Hershey Track and Field Committee’s “Service to Youth Award” and is a recipient of the John “Jack” Cronin Award for outstanding leadership in the Recreation Profession.

She is a graduate of East Providence Sr. High School and Rhode Island College.
