East Providence Police execute search warrant and make drug arrest  

 

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – On Wednesday, August 25th, after a two month long investigation, members of the East Providence Police Special Investigation Unit executed a court authorized search warrant at a home on Juniper Street in East Providence. During the course of this investigation, probable cause was established that the resident of the home was distributing narcotics. 

 

With the assistance of the East Providence Police Patrol and Detective Divisions, along with K-9 Chiko, a search of the residence was conducted and the following was seized:

 

Approximately 205 grams of cocaine with a street value of $9,000

Approximately 4.5 pounds of marijuana with a street value of  $11,250

133 Adderall pills with a street value of $3,000

Glock model 48, 9mm semi-automatic pistol

Taurus G2C 9mm semi-automatic pistol

2 large capacity 9mm magazines with ammunition

$6,013 US Currency  

 

The resident of the home, Ryan Brasil, 26, was arrested and charged with the following:

 

Two counts Using a Firearm When Committing a Crime of Violence

Distribution or Manufacturing a Controlled Substance Near a School  

Manufacturing/Possessing/Delivery of Cocaine 1oz-1kg

Manufacturing/Possessing/Delivery of Marijuana 1-5kg

Manufacturing/Possessing/Delivery of Schedule I/II Narcotic (Amphetamines)

 

At his arraignment, Brasil was held without bail and remanded to the ACI.
