EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – Good evening, this is a message from the City of East Providence Due to the impending storm a parking ban will be in effect beginning Monday, Feb 1 at 8 a.m. and will remain in place until further notice. If you do not have a place to park your vehicle, a number of public parking lots will remain open for your vehicle. Please visit the city’s website at for the full list of locations. Please note that if your vehicle is not removed during the parking ban you are at risk of being ticketed and the car towed. Vehicles must be removed within two hours after the ban has been lifted. In addition, if Monday is your regular rubbish and recycling collection day, we ask that you place your recycling and rubbish carts out tonight as trash WILL be collected early tomorrow morning. We also ask that you remove the carts from the road immediately after they have been emptied to allow the city’s plow drivers to clear the roadways.

Please visit the city’s website as well as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts for complete storm-related updates.
