East Providence extends city services to address COVID-19

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – The city of East Providence has extended some of its city services to a daily schedule to address the immediate needs of families impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.

“During this time, we understand that families of the residents of East Providence healthcare facilities and nursing homes may have a need for particular city services beyond the regular business day and we want to be sure we offer the needed support,” Mayor DaSilva said.
As such, the City Clerk’s Office has extended its services and support to the families of the residents at local healthcare facilities and nursing homes and will be available seven days a week (by appointment) for the following:
• Probate Court: Guardianships, Estates
• Vital Record Needs: Death Certificates for Funeral Homes

To arrange an appointment for these needs, those impacted should call: 401-477-9328 and leave a message with their name, contact number, name of the family member/resident and the service being requested.
Those requesting these services should allow 24 hours for scheduling of the appointment.
