SEASONAL SECURITY/MAINTENANCE PERSON

$17.00 per hour

Description of Duties

Under the direction of the Parks Division Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the staff member will be responsible for the following:

· Unlock and lock all gates at the Pierce Field Sports Complex;

· Maintain and cleanup the grounds and trash barrels;

· Maintain and clean restrooms;

· Put away equipment and supplies at end of each shift;

· Turn lights on and off for scheduled events;

· Maintain office and any other complex building in an orderly and clean fashion;

· Report any wrongdoing to the appropriate authorities;

· Answer any questions and customer service any group or individual that are using the Complex;

· Inspect the grounds daily for any damage to property and or cleaning of debris or trash;

· Performs any other duties as required and or assigned

· May be asked to write incident reports of any circumstance worth noting;

Minimum Qualifications

Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to speak, write and comprehend English. Must have the physical aptitude to perform the job. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds; Ability to walk around. Ability to confront any user of the complex and bring any wrongdoing to their attention.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Security/public safety experience

· General maintenance/custodial experience

· Ability to speak another language preferred
