PART-TIME/SEASONAL
$13.50 per hour / NO BENEFITS
We are currently hiring part-time recreational staff for our 2022 summer programs to conduct recreation activities such as arts and crafts, sports, special events and day camp.
Mature individuals needed to supervise and assist developmentally and physically delayed youth and young adult participants of recreation summer programs. Must be prompt and responsible. Duties include implementation and coordination of athletic and artistic activities; chaperoning field trips and special events; and assisting participants as needed. Provide for safety, order, and must maintain discipline at all times. Work 25 - 35 hours per week beginning June 23 – August 5, 2022, Monday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age, some experience in supervising youth. Must be a high school senior, or entering your senior year in the fall. Any experience working with special needs youth, a plus.
As a condition of employment upon hire, applicants will be required to obtain a criminal background check inquiry (BCI) with the RI Attorney General’s office. However, for any candidate under 18, a background check will be performed by the East Providence Police Department.
