SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM STAFF

CITY OF EAST PROVIDENCE SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM STAFF PART-TIME/SEASONAL $13.00 per hour (9 week program) Staff assists with the operation of the free meals program that is offered to youth and teens aged 18 and under at selected locations throughout East Providence. Meal servers will comply with the program, RI Department of Health, and USDA guidelines. The Summer Food Service Program Staff is a part-time position, up to (15) hours per week under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor. Requirements: Candidates must be at least sixteen years old, attending or be a high school graduate or have a GED. Must be able to work outside and physically able to meet the requirements of the job. Experience with youth preferable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Daily inspections of meal site and confirm proper procedures.  Verify accurate record-keeping of meal components and delivery slips and make note of any substations/deviations from the day’s menu.  Review meal count sheets for accuracy  Distribute lunches.  Ensure all sites have adequate supplies and standardized forms.  Assist with program advertising and outreach  Assist with any Recreation Department activities with youth when needed.
