CITY OF EAST PROVIDENCE PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Repost Part time Seasonal Security/Maintenance Workers 21 Hours per week (No Benefits) Department of Public Works-Parks Division $14.00 per hour Part-time Security Maintenance worker needed, twenty-one (21) hours per week with a rotating schedule. The candidates must be available 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week. The duration or the assignment is through October 31, 2021. Description of Duties: Under the direction of the Parks Division Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the staff member will be responsible for the following: - Unlock and lock all gates at the Pierce Filed Sports Complex; - Maintain and cleanup the grounds and trash barrels; - Maintain and clean restrooms; - Put away equipment and supplies at the end of each shift; - Turn lights on and off for scheduled events; - Maintain office and any other complex buildings in an orderly and clean fashion; - Report any wrongdoing to the appropriate authorities; - Answer any questions and customer service from any group or individual that are using the Complex; - Inspect the grounds daily for any damage to property and/or cleaning of debris or trash; - Performs any other duties as required and/or assigned - May be asked to write incident reports of any circumstance worth noting; - Minimum Qualifications: - High School graduate and or GED; - 18 years of age; - Must speak , write and comprehend English; - Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds; - Ability to walk around - Ability to confront any user of the complex and bring any wrongdoing to their attention; Preferred Qualifications: - Security/public safety experience; - General maintenance/custodial experience - Ability to speak another language preferred Please apply online no later than May 25 , 2021. https://workforcenow.adp.com/mascsr/default/mdf/recruitment/recruitment.html?cid=7194c980-8645-4d6ca63d-4aa97ffa0bad&ccId=19000101_000001&type=JS&lang=en_US At the City of East Providence we celebrate the diversity of our citizenry, and are proud to encourage inclusiveness in our workforce.
