Director of Finance, Malcolm Moore

Malcolm Moore, who has served as finance director with the city of East Providence since 2015, is responsible for the tax collection, tax assessment, controllers and finance divisions.

Moore joined the city in 2012 and served as finance director for both the city and the school department until he was named sole finance director.

Prior to joining the city of East Providence, Moore served as finance director with the Town of West Warwick. In that role he was responsible for financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, assessing, tax collection and pension administration. He also served as principal advisor to the then town manager and served as the interim town manager in his absence. Moore also served as the part-time business manager with the Foster School Department where he worked with the superintendent to establish and implement accounting, budgeting and payroll systems. He also worked as a business manager/consultant with the Town of Johnston.

Moore earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University.
