Community celebrates Black History Month with roll in registration parade, clinic & test kit distribution

The City of East Providence,  together with support from our community partners East Bay Community Action Program and Rhode Island Foundation, will host a Black History Celebration with a roll-in for voter registration parade which will lead to the East Providence High School where there will be a pop-up vaccine clinic, free test-kit distribution, free giveaways and more. 

When: Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022

Start location: Carousel 700 Bullocks Point Ave. @ 11 a.m.

Parade route:

Beginning at the Carousel in Riverside, the parade with travel north on Bullocks Point Ave. to Pawtucket Ave. heading north. It will continue northbound on Pawtucket Ave. until it enters the south parking lot of the East Providence High School. The parade will have a police escort (augmented by the Patrol Division) from the Carousel to its ending at the high school.

End location: East Providence High School 2000 Pawtucket Ave.

Clinic Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
