REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
BID OPENING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2021 AT 11:00 AM

The City of East Providence (City) requests proposals from professional sprinkler design and installation firms (Contractors) with significant experience in the development and design of fire alarm systems and/or sprinkler systems for commercial and/or municipal buildings.

Four (4) copies of a technical proposal shall be submitted in one (1) sealed envelope to the Controller’s Office, Attn: Dawn Kenney, Procurement Specialist, Room 103, City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914 on or before WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2021 AT 11:00 AM. The bids will be publicly recorded. Bids received with a time of 11:01 AM or later will be rejected. The outside envelope needs to be marked BID EP20/21-22R.

A pre-bid walk through is scheduled with Edward Catelli, Superintendent of Public Buildings on OCTOBER 20, 2021 10:00AM at 60 Commercial Way, East Providence, RI 02914. It is MANDATORY that attendees wear a mask even if fully vaccinated. Any questions after the pre-bid walk through must be submitted in writing to Ed Catelli ecatelli@eastprovidenceri.gov by WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2021 at 4PM.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. The Contract shall be awarded to responsive and responsible bidder whose bid in either the lowest price, or lowest evaluated or responsive bid price.

The selected firm will be required to provide the minimum categories and amounts of insurance required for this project including: Commercial General Liability, Products/Completed Operations, Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability including explosion, collapse and underground coverage, and personal& advertising injury - $1,000,000 General Aggregate. Auto Liability -$1,000,000 Bodily Injury & Property Damage and Workers Compensation – Statutory amounts. The City of East Providence shall be names as an additional insured.
