$17.00 per hour / No Benefits
Summary: Under the direction of the supervisors of the Recreation Department, the Recreation Staff Members – Camp After Care provide after camp childcare at the Recreation Center.
General Responsibilities: The following serve as examples of the responsibilities of the position and are not intended to be a comprehensive and limited list.
- Conduct activities such as arts and crafts, games and sports utilizing the center’s facilities and outdoor spaces.
- Follow proper drop-off and pick up procedures as dictated by the Recreation Department’s Summer Camp.
- Perform work at the Recreation Center at 610 Waterman Avenue.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Experience working with youth is preferred.
- Must pass a BCI (Background Criminal Investigation) if 18 years of age.
- Must have a screening performed by the East Providence Police Department if under 18 years of age.
