TAUNTON AVENUE RIGHT OF WAY IMPROVEMENTS
BID OPENING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2026, AT 11:00AM

ADVERTISEMENT

The City of East Providence is seeking sealed bids for construction of specific public improvements in Taunton Avenue right of way. Improvements are associated with ONE Neighborhood Builders’ ongoing construction of Central City Apartments development at 330, 350 & 354 Taunton Ave.

Improvements generally include demolition of certain right-of-way features, installation of underground utility lines, construction of curbing, sidewalk and driveways, and roadway restoration. Please see the Scope of Work and site plans for additional details.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2026, at 11:00am in Conference Room 306 of East Providence City Hall, located at 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence.

A 5% bid bond is required to be submitted with proposal and performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the total bid price will be required upon final award of the contract. See Standard Instructions to Bidders for additional information.

One (1) original, two (2) copies and 1 Thumb Drive of the proposal shall be submitted in one (1) sealed envelope to East Providence City Hall, Controllers Office, Room 103, Attn: Jessica Lamprey, Procurement Specialist, 145 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI 02914 no later than THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2026, AT 11:00AM. The bids will be publicly opened and recorded on the same day at 11:00am in Conference Room A at East Providence City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence. Bids received with a time of 11:01 AM or later will be rejected. The outside envelope needs to be marked RFP EP25/26-02 Taunton Avenue Right of Way Improvements.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in order to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
