Global Partners 5,000-gallon donation helps heat homes across East Providence
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – Global Partners has donated 5,000 gallons of home heating oil to support East Providence residents this winter to ensure that families stay warm throughout the season.
This donation is apart of Global Partners’ annual commitment to distribute and assist residents facing heating and food insecurity through donations of home heating oil in communities that the company calls home.
“Giving back to the communities where we live and work isn’t just something we do. It’s who we are,” Uri Molina, Community Relations Manager at Global Partners said. “With deep roots in the Northeast, keeping our neighbors warm is part of our DNA. This year, we’re proud to support East Providence by providing 5,000 gallons of free home heating oil to families in need. As winter brings some of the coldest temperatures in recent years, reliable heat isn’t a luxury, it’s essential, and we’re committed to helping our communities grow, move, and thrive.”
This oil will be made available until November 1, 2026 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The application process is currently open.
“I am very grateful to Global Partners for reaching out to our administration to make free home heating oil available again this year to those in our community that need it most,” Mayor Bob DaSilva said. “This donation will have a positive impact on a number of families throughout East Providence and give them peace of mind during these trying times.”
To be eligible, households must currently be receiving social service aid of some kind such as Low Income Heating Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and or Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
To be eligible to apply for free home heating oil you must be a resident of the City of East Providence.
