Carousel Ride Staff

Seasonal and Part Time
$16.00 per hour (no benefits)

Summary: Under the direction of the Carousel Manager, the Carousel Ride Staff performs various functions in the operation on the Looff Carousel, located at the historical Crescent Park in the Riverside section of the City. The Looff Carousel is open May through October.

Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities are not intended to be an exhaustive list. They are intended to be summaries of what the job involves and what is required to perform it. Employees are responsible for related duties as assigned.

• Maintain crowds and ride lines.
• Load and unload carousel riders.
• Collection of tickets.
• Load and operate the carousel ring arm.
• General cleaning and the collection and removal of trash.

Desirable Abilities, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to engage with patrons from various age groups.
• Ability to follow and implement strict safety protocols.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays May thru October.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to get on an off a moving carousel.
• Ability to assist patrons when boarding the carousel.
• Ability to lift items weighing no more than 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain active in movement during a 6–7-hour shift.
