SEASONAL LANDSCAPE / SPORTS CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANT

$18.00 per hour – NO BENEFITS

East Providence DPW is seeking temporary seasonal landscape/sports construction labor with a minimum 3 years of experience performing manual labor in the field of landscape / sports construction for its Parks Department.

Seasonal work beginning in May, Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30 pm, 40 hours per week. Duties include mostly working outdoors and assisting Parks staff with the repair and construction of athletic fields, playgrounds, shelters, gazebos, fencing and other construction-related projects.

Additional duties include working outdoors and assisting with Parks preservation and clean up, grass cutting, shrub trimming, trash pick-up, sweeping and other work as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Must have the physical aptitude to perform the job and be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
