As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this public hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue and also conducted virtually through an application called “Zoom”.

A. Public Hearing.
Recommendation to the City Council to amend the Generalized Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan to change from Open Space to Metacomet, a new sub-district of the Waterfront Special Development District under Article IX of the City Zoning Code for property owned by the Petitioner Metacomet Property LLC. Street Address: 500 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway. Location: Map 107, block 15, lot 1.
B. Discussion and possible vote to recommend to the City Council to amend the text of the Zoning Ordinance to create a new sub-district of the Waterfront Special Development District called Metacomet, and to change the current zoning from Open Space to Metacomet, a new sub-district of the Waterfront Special Development District under Article IX of the City Zoning Code for property owned by Petitioner Metacomet Property LLC. Street Address: 500 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway. Location: Map 107, block 15, lot 1. Planning Board Recommendation made pursuant to Section 19-73 of the Zoning Code of the City of East Providence.
