BID OPENING WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021 AT 11:00 AM

The City of East Providence requests bids for the repairs on the Weaver House porch located at 31 Grove Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914 replacing the first floor porch entry landing column bases, entry landing railings, deck trim, lattice, second floor porch railing, and EPDM roof. This RFP is a repost of RFP 19/20-27 that was not awarded. All worker’s onsite shall be paid prevailing wages in accordance with Davis-Bacon requirements. All work is to be performed in compliance with local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.

Three (3) copies of statements should be sent in one (1) sealed envelope to East Providence City Hall, Controllers Office, Room 103, Attn: Dawn Kenney, Procurement Specialist, 145 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI 02914 no later than WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021 AT 11AM. The RFQ will be publicly recorded. Any RFQ received with a time of 11:01 AM or later will be rejected. The outside envelope needs to be marked RFP EP20/21-15.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. The Contract shall be awarded to responsive and responsible bidder whose bid in either the lowest price, or lowest evaluated or responsive bid price.

The selected firm will be required to provide the minimum categories and amounts of insurance required for this project including: Commercial General Liability, Products/Completed Operations, Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability including explosion, collapse and underground coverage, and personal& advertising injury - $1,000,000 General Aggregate. Auto Liability -$1,000,000 Bodily Injury & Property Damage and Workers Compensation – Statutory amounts. The City of East Providence shall be named as certificate holder on the Certificate of Liability Insurance.

A non-mandatory onsite meeting is scheduled for THURSDAY APRIL 29, 2021 AT 10AM with all interested development firms for an opportunity to discuss the project with city officials.
