INFORMATION on APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY FEASTS
Please note:
1. Feast coordinators must obtain a Class F or F-1 Alcoholic Beverage license through the City Clerk’s Office if serving alcohol. This must be done well in advance of the Feast date as Council approval is required.
2. Feast coordinators must apply for a Tent License through the City Clerk’s Office if having a tent more than 120 square feet (10’x12’). If a tent supply company will be applying for the permit and license, it is the responsibility of the Feast coordinator to make sure the license has been obtained.
3. A Building Permit through the Building Inspectors Office is also required.
4. Feast coordinators must apply for a Promoter’s Permit through the Rhode Island Division of Taxation at least 10 days in advance of the event. Carnival companies must apply for a separate Promoter’s Permit.
It is the responsibility of the Feast coordinator to come to the City Clerk’s Office to pay the license fees before 4 p.m. on the Friday afternoon of the Feast week.
