Election Day voters reassigned to two new polling locations
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – Due to recent flooding and electrical issues at the East Providence High School, the City of East Providence Canvassing Office has reassigned voters to two new polling locations.
East Providence residents whose polling place is East Providence High School, will now vote at the East Providence Senior Center, 610 Waterman Ave. East Providence, RI 02914.
East Providence residents whose polling place is Rumford Towers, will now vote at Orlo Avenue School, 25 Orlo Ave. (Due to the pandemic and COVID-19 restrictions, residents who normally voted at Rumford Towers were slated to vote at East Providence High School this year, but that changed after the school faced flooding and electrical issues).
Thanks to a $25,000 Center for Tech and Civic Life grant awarded to the City’s Canvassing Office and due to the high turnout of early voters, City Hall will be open to voters on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Reminders: City Hall is open for a full ballot, in-person voting each weekday through Nov. 2, 2020 until 4 p.m.
On Nov. 3, 2020 - Election Day, voters are asked to go to their assigned polling locations to vote a full ballot. Voters who wish to vote in the presidential or vice presidential election ONLY and no other races, may do so at City Hall.
