Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the East Providence City Council on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 6:30 PM. The purpose of the public hearing is for the City Council to consider a proposed ordinance to amend the Official Zoning Map as summarized below and amend the future land use map in the comprehensive plan from open space to mixed-use.
An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 19 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of East Providence by changing the following parcel at 0 Wampanoag Trail (Map 709, Block 1, Parcel 1) from Industrial-1 (I-1) to a Commercial-2 (C-2) Zoning District designation and to amend the future land use map in the comprehensive plan from open space to mixed-use.

A complete copy of the petition and other pertinent information may be examined in the Office of the Department of Planning & Economic Development, City Hall, Room 309, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursdays, and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Fridays. (Excluding holidays).
The proposed ordinance may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising as a result of further study or because of views expressed at the public hearing. Any alteration or amendment will be presented for comment in the course of the hearing. All persons interested are invited to be present at said time and place to be heard thereon. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired or needing other special services must call (401) 435-7500 forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the meeting date.
