A public hearing will be held by the East Providence Planning Board on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chamber, first floor in the East Providence City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue for a preliminary plan submission that is proposing the following as phase IB of the development: building #1 to serve as retail with a building footprint of 7,550 sq. ft., Building #2 that is proposing 1,600 sq. ft. of retail and a 2,600 sq. ft. restaurant with a drive thru , Building #3 that is proposing 2,600 sq. ft. to serve as a restaurant with a drive thru, and Building #4 that is proposing 4,000 sq. ft. of retail and a 2,400 sq. ft. restaurant with a drive thru. This is a preliminary plan submission for phase IB of the project. Future phases include a mixed use development of retail, office and residential with 14.4 acres located in East Providence and 7 acres located in Pawtucket.
Vehicle access to buildings 1, 2, 3 and 4 are provided by two driveway entrances on Newport Avenue and a drive entrance on Narragansett Park Drive. A total of 343 parking spaces are being proposed for the 4 buildings to serve as restaurants and retail.
The proposed preliminary plan may be revised by the Planning Board based upon further study or views expressed by the public. The preliminary plan and other materials may be examined in the Office of the Department of Planning & Urban Development, City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday (excluding holidays) in room 309.
