RECREATION LEADER (SUMMER CAMP)
PART-TIME/SEASONAL
$16.00 per hour / NO BENEFITS
Job Description: The Recreation Leader for 2024 summer programs conducts recreation activities such as arts and crafts, sports, special events, and day camp. This position is 30-35 hours per week beginning June 24 – August 2, 2024, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Requirements:
- Ability to supervise children ages 6 –12.
- Must be prompt and reliable, and provide for safety, order and must maintain discipline at all times.
- Ability to coordinate and implement athletic and artistic activities and to chaperone field trips and special events.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Experience supervising youth.
- As a condition of employment upon hire, applicants will be required to obtain a criminal background check inquiry (BCI) with the RI Attorney General’s office. However, for any candidate under 18, a screening will be performed by the East Providence Police Department.
Examination Weight: 100% oral
