EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The City of East Providence is partnering with Entomologist Lyle Martin to host “Rodent Reality: Prevention, Facts, and What You Can Do’, an informative community presentation designed to provide residents with practical information and resources to help prevent and address rodent activity.
“Over the past several weeks the City of East Providence has seen an uptick in complaints about rodents in our community, so we turned to the experts, like Lyle Martin to help our community get a better understanding of what we can collaboratively do to find a solution,” Mayor Bob DaSilva said. “I highly encourage all of our neighbors to come out and learn something new and be a part of the conversation in continuing to make East Providence the best place to live, learn, work and play,” DaSilva added.
The presentation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at the Fuller Creative Learning Center at 260 Dover Ave and focus on better understanding rodent behavior, identifying potential attractants and how you can take proactive steps to help keep neighborhoods rodent-free.
Residents will have an opportunity to learn directly from Entomologist Lyle Martin about effective prevention strategies, common misconceptions and steps that our community can take to reduce conditions that attract rodents.
The City of East Providence is encouraging residents to attend this informative presentation, ask questions, and learn firsthand how you can tackle rodent issues.
Some of the themes that will be covered include, burrows, seasonal activity, awareness, behavioral patterns and proper bait and reducing carrying capacity and more!
