EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The City of East Providence Dept. of Public Works has announced that they will be co-hosting with RI Resource Recovery a free Eco-Depot event on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Public Works Complex located at 60 Commercial Way.
Household hazardous waste is anything labeled with a skull and crossbones, or words like ‘toxic’, ‘poison’, flammable’, combustible’, etc. Examples include paint, pesticides, fertilizers, pool chemicals, cleaners, mercury devices, gasoline, and polishers. Fluorescents are also accepted.
Eco-Depot events are free to all Rhode Island residents for properly disposing of household hazardous waste. Please make an appointment by visiting rirrc.org/ecodepot or by calling
942-1430 ext. 3241. If you are unable to make an appointment, please plan to arrive after 10:30 a.m. All residents are asked to remain in their vehicles, workers will remove the hazardous waste from your vehicle.
