MARRIAGE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
INFORMATION on APPLYING FOR A MARRIAGE LICENSE
Please note:
Both parties need the following:
- Certified copy of birth certificate (hospital certificates are not acceptable);
- Valid government-issued photo identification;
- Proof of residence (if not on identification, utility bill, bank statement, car registration, etc);
- If previously married, civil union or registered domestic partnership. Certified final divorce/dissolution decree, (no photocopies);
- If partner is deceased, the death certificate will be required;
- Certified copies must have an embossed seal/stamp;
- All documents must be in English; if not in English, translation may be done;
- Both parties must be present when applying for the license.
Marriage license fee: $24 in the form of cash, check or money order.
Marriage licenses are available Monday-Wednesday from 8:30AM - 3PM, Thursday 8:30AM - 5PM, Friday 8:30AM - 12PM (Beginning the week of July 3, 2022)
