Information on Applying for a Deduct Meter

Deduct Meter Application Procedure:

1. Review the City of East Providence Sewer Deduct Meter Policy
2. Retain the services of a licensed plumber in the State Rhode Island.
3. Complete a Deduct Meter Application and send to waterdept@eastprovidenceri.gov (requires a completed East Providence Deduct Meter Plumbing Diagram)
4. File a City of East Providence Plumbing Permit, attached the completed Deduct Meter Application and plumbing diagram to the permitn, obtain approval, and pay permit fee.
5. Allow the licensed plumber to perform work detailed in the permit.  
6. Schedule an appointment with the East Providence Plumbing Inspector for Inspection of Work
