Save the date – Santa is coming to East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – Dressed in his red coat and black boots, the jolly old white-bearded man is coming to East Providence to not only see who has been naughty or nice, but to bring holiday cheer to the children and families of East Providence.
Santa Claus will ride through East Providence with help from the East Providence Fire and Police Departments to wave to and wish families a very merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
“Santa said he felt so welcomed when he visited East Providence to light the City’s Christmas Tree that he decided to return to East Providence one more time before returning to the North Pole in preparation of Christmas,” Mayor Bob DaSilva said. “We are delighted to have Santa return to our city, but he said he’d come back on one condition – that residents take safety precautions while participating in or watching the parade.”
Residents are welcome to join in the festivities by decorating their vehicles and joining the parade. We ask that only members of a single household ride together. We ask residents, who plan to watch the parade, to follow CDC guidelines and wear their masks and remain socially distanced.
