Information on Application for New Business Licenses
Board of Licensing Commissioners
Please note:
The City of East Providence, requires all businesses, before opening and operation to receive approval for the following:
- Need to fill out a Change of Tenancy form;
- Business Registration form
- Any applicable licenses issued from the State and/or Department of Health
If you are a restaurant:
- You will need to apply for a Victualing License;
- If you are selling liquor, you will need to determine the scope of your service (advertisement of public hearing is required);
- If offering Live Entertainment – dancing, singing, music, trivia, etc. (see, “Entertainment License” form)
- Holiday Sales – if you plan on operating during any holiday (see, “Holiday Sales” license form)
- These licenses require appearance and approval from the Board of Licensing Commissioners/East Providence City Council.
If you are a convenience store:
- You will need to apply for a Victualing License;
- Holiday Sales – if you plan on operating during any holiday
