Bob Rodericks, a lifelong East Providence resident, is a 1972 graduate of East Providence High School and a dean's list graduate of Roger Williams University. In 1980, Vice President Rodericks earned with a bachelor of arts degree in Social Science and Education. He is currently the Chairman, and an inductee, of the East Providence High School Hall of Fame.
From 1980 to 2008, Councilman Rodericks was an East Providence School Department administrator, serving in the following capacities: Truant Officer, Director of Student Registration, Communication, Public Relations & Security, Special Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools and Director of Attendance, Truancy & Discipline.
In retirement, he has been a substitute teacher in East Providence and Seekonk, Mass. and a freelance feature writer for a local East Providence publication. Rodericks has written guest commentary for other local publications. Before working for the school system, Rodericks was a meat market manager for several years.
Rodericks led a team of school, police and fire personnel to develop, supervise and train all students and staff regarding the overall implementation of the school district's first ‘code-red’ and other emergency response procedures. He has also worked part-time as a Milieu Therapist for Bradley Hospital from 1985-1995.
The East Providence City Council vice president has long been active in community endeavors including:

· Recipient of Rhode Island Public Utilities First Place award for cable television programming

· Former chairman - Rhode Island Heart Association fund drive for East Providence
· Former chairman - East Providence School Committee
· Former league director, coach and official for East Providence Little League, CYO and youth football
· Volunteer at numerous East Providence School Department afters school activities
· Former chairman - Governor’s Juvenile Justice Commission, Rhode Island
· Deliver public addresses to community groups
· 2008 Inductee, East Providence High School Hall of Fame
· Chairman - East Providence High School Hall of Fame Committee
Councilman Rodericks is married to Diane Rodericks. Together they have four children and two grandchildren.
As a councilman, Roderick's vision for East Providence is to provide all residents with the highest quality of life possible. The education of the city's kids, police, fire and all other municipal services are his top priorities. His slogan is to - "Just Do What's Right."
